Book of the decade!
There's a first for everything, and this is my first review about any book.
I just had to write it to say thank you for the most easy to read, clear, funny, life changing book I have had the privilege of reading in ages!
It quite simply touches the parts that have been crying out for something, but didn't know what... until now!
God no longer is a scary person, waiting to see me fail or catch me out.
He's my Daddy and He loves ME!!!
This is the best Christian book I have read in years.
It is powerfully anointed, very easy to read and really increased my knowledge and love for Father God.

Before I read this book, God the Father was a distant figure who was constantly watching over me, waiting for me to make a mistake. After reading the book, I realise that nothing could be further from the truth. At times I cried as it touched my spirit and laughed at the stories described through the authors own experiences.
When asked what door I would choose at the beginning of the book, 'God the Father, 'Jesus Christ' and 'Holy Spirit', I would have crept past the 'God the Father' door, but by the end of the book I would have been banging on the door to get it open. Just incredible.
If you want to be transformed in the love of our Heavenly Father, please read this book.
Everyone should read this book!
This is a book written by a Christian teacher, and it is probably going to be of interest to Christians, therefore. Yet this book speaks about human issues which are common to all of us, whether Christian or not, and so I would venture to suggest that it is a book for anyone. As I read it I found it touched me deeply and profoundly, and challenged too. The book is about fathering, by our human fathers, and all of us have experienced fathering in some form or other, but it is predominantly about God as Father. What becomes clear in the book is that this is really what the Christian message is all about, that God would like to be a father and to be in such a relationship with each one of us. Let's face it no one has had perfect fathering and some have a woeful lack of good fathering, a nonexistent father, an absentee father, an abusive father, which we know happens only too often. Then there are the disappointments, the omissions, the failures and faults of ordinary fathers, and a lot of us have hurts from the past, which result from this. Even our personalities are shaped by these things. Most of us have learnt to bury things and cope. This book speaks about the fathering God would give. The author tells his own story of how he came to find God as Father.
This book would be challenging for people who don't have any faith in or time for God, and may stretch the parameters of their understanding a little. I still maintain this is a good book for all to read. It may take some courage for some to do so because it would require a letting go of mindsets and a letting down of defences, and a laying aside of excuses. It would require a mustard seed of faith in God and a tentative reaching out to him. The book is warm, real, balanced and full of wisdom. It could be life changing for those who are willing.

I just want to say I read your book - cover to cover - in a night. Felt it was gripping and unputdownable. Was touched by your story and found you allowed me to journey through your life with you beautifully as you shared how you discovered the power, the love and the wonder of our Father. I found the stops here and there challenging and sometimes restorative. Thank you very much for such a precious gift - and thank you for personally signing it for me.
